The Catholic Faith Explained - Practical Lessons for Living

Sunday Mornings 9 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.
in the Blessed Trinity High School Media Center
(map & directions below)

Upcoming Sessions:
  • March 26, 2017 9:00 a.m. -- Knowing God's Will

You are invited to join us for Sunday Morning Adult Faith Enrichment at 9 a.m. in the Blessed Trinity High School Media Center (directions below). Bring a friend!

Special Guest Speaker this Sunday: Jim Grebe, a member of Holy Family Catholic Church will join Deacon Mike Bickerstaff, Mike Carlton and Matt Griffin to lead a discussion on knowing God's Will.

  • How Can I Know God's Will?
  • What does He want for my life?
  • What does He ask of me in the ordinary moments of daily life?

Jim will lead a discussion on discovering what God wants you to do, both in regard to the big questions of life and also the everyday, little ordinary things! So many of us struggle with how to know what God wants...

Dr. Peter Kreeft wrote, "Many Christians who struggle with this question today are unaware that Christians of the past can help them from their own experience. Christian wisdom embodied in the lives and teachings of the saints tells us two things that are relevant to this question. First, they tell us that God not only knows and loves us in general but that he cares about every detail of our lives, and we are to seek to walk in his will in all things, big and little. Second, they tell us that he has given us free will and reason because he wants us to use it to make decisions. This tradition is exemplified in Saint Augustine's famous motto 'Love God and [then] do what you will.' In other words, if you truly love God and his will, then doing what you will, will, in fact, be doing what God wills."

Jim will add his own insights and experiences to a question that always leads to an exciting session with much discussion and light!

We hope to see you on Sunday! This topic will be presented at both the 9:00 a.m. the 10:45 sessions. Bring a friend!

~~~
Deacon Mike Bickerstaff and Mike Carlton lead a short, practical presentation and conversation about living the Catholic faith. All are welcome -- Cradle Catholics, New Catholics, Returning Catholics.
Each session stands on its own. Come to as many or as few as you want. The format will include a short instruction period, your questions and discussion.
