Forever Young is open to all members of the parish, age 55 and older. Spiritual, social and service-oriented activities are planned throughout the year.
The Knights of Columbus is the leading organization of Catholic laymen. Our St. Peter Chanel council embraces the order’s values of charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism. We believe that a man is defined by his actions as a follower of God, and as a leader in our Church and community. It is through five key areas of service - faith, community, family, youth, and fellowship, that we work at making a difference.
All men of the parish are members of the Men's Group, a spiritual, service, and social-oriented ministry that supports all aspects of our parish life.
Annual Meat 'n Greet, Oktoberfest, Cajun Feast, and Cinco de Mayo gatherings are among the monthly dinner meetings, which frequently include guest speakers ranging from clergy to authors to sports luminaries. Family events such as an annual Braves outing and parish social events are also supported by the Men's Club both financially and through volunteers.
The broader St. Peter Chanel and Roswell-area communities are supported by events such as the North Fulton Charities, Christmas Adopt-A-Family Drive, the annual Feed Haiti project, and additional service projects. The Men's Group supports the parish and ministries both financially and through volunteerism and service.
Cub Scouting includes a variety of fun and exciting activities for boys in the first through fifth grades. But there's more to it than that. Being a Cub Scout means you are a member of a worldwide youth movement that stands for certain values and beliefs. Cub Scouting is more than something to do. It's all about the boy you are and the person you will become. The aim of Cub Scouting is to help boys grow into good citizens who are strong in character and personally fit. Cub Scouting is fun with a purpose.
The Boy Scouts offers effective character, citizenship, and personal fitness training for youth. Specifically, the BSA endeavors to develop American citizens who are physically, mentally, and emotionally fit. We stress self-reliance, have personal values based on religious concepts, have the desire and skills to help others. We're an active group that hikes, bikes, camps, caves, kayaks, climbs, or something exciting each month. All boys from age 11-17 are welcome to join us at any time. For young men and women aged 14-20, we offer a Venturing program where they can pursue their special interests, grow, develop leadership skills, and become good citizens.
A ministry consisting of single, widowed and divorced Catholic men and women, age 35 and over. Activities include stewardship, community service, and socializing. You may participate in as many activities as you like, based on your availability and interests. You might want to consider this ministry if friends at work, or your family, don’t always include “singles.” Perhaps you just want to meet new people and enjoy life. You can join by just coming to any event, or using the contact information provided below.
The Women’s Group is open to all women in the parish, Catholic or non-Catholic. We have monthly socials including spiritual topics. We are active in volunteering for holiday functions, the church picnic, St. Patty's party, as well as different tasks needed by the church. We have a bake sale fundraiser and a Charity event yearly. We are a growing group, and are so glad to see new people join. It’s a great way to meet other ladies in the parish and be active!
