What is a CRHP 2.0 — Welcome?

CRHP 2.0 provides Catholic parishioners of St. Peter Chanel an overnight retreat experience in the parish setting through separate men’s and women’s CRHP 2.0 — Welcome Weekends — offering personal witness, faith-sharing, prayer and celebration of the sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist.

CRHP 2.0 — Welcome (a) provides parishioners an opportunity to rest, breathe, reflect, renew and connect; (b) helps parishioners to more actively live the sacramental and prayer life of the Catholic; and (c) encourages, inspires and empowers parishioners to become fully involved in the life of the parish — participating in parish ministries and activities, attending parish events, and participating in parish programs.

What Happens on the Weekend?

The weekend begins on Saturday morning and concludes Sunday afternoon. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided on Saturday and breakfast and lunch are provided on Sunday. Participants sleep at the church on Saturday night.

Participating in the weekend retreat will draw you closer to Christ and deeper reconciliation with God through the lived experiences and testimonies of other parishioners.

Experiencing forgiveness and offering thanksgiving through the sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist are a central part of the weekend with liturgies celebrated on both Saturday and Sunday. The CRHP 2.0 — Welcome weekend is given to Catholic parishioners by Catholic parishioners and our parish clergy. Parishioners are renewed and empowered to deeper engagement in the parish home of St. Peter Chanel.

What Parishioners Are Saying

“When the CRHP weekend was over, my heart and soul were truly soaring. I returned home that Sunday evening feeling like a changed person. I gained a new perspective on my priorities and recognized how important it is to surround oneself with God's presence. People at work started commenting on how they could see a change in me. I was at peace and on fire about the changes I experienced over the weekend; these feelings were contagious! I met the most wonderful Sisters in Christ—they share my faith and are on their own personal journey with God. I have more intimacy with Christ than ever.” — Kim Mock

“Why did I wait so long? Did I think someone would come knocking at my door with all the answers I needed? I attended my first CRHP retreat in search of having a deeper relationship with Jesus and finding spiritual friendships with other women. I found exactly what I was looking for during the most amazing weekend. I felt renewed in my faith and energized to share it with others. It was truly a life altering experience that has not only strengthened my faith but has also lead me to find those meaningful friendships that I was looking for.” — Chrissy Nielsen

“I often think of my faith journey as pre- & post-CRHP. The weekend opened my heart to the scriptures, my Catholic faith, and a closer relationship with Christ. It also connected me with a wonderful group of men in the parish who are on the same journey.” — Tom Zabroske

“Attending the Women’s CRHP weekend is one of the best decisions I’ve made in my faith journey. I was able to unplug from daily life while renewing my relationship with our Lord. Additionally, I was able to build beautiful, faith-filled friendships with women of our parish.” — Mary Wethern

“I am writing this because I want to remind you of the great future God has for you. I know this because He said so. He says you have not seen, nor heard, nor even imagined anything as great as what He has prepared for you… And, for me, it all started with Christ Renews His Parish. It was a life-changing experience. The way I feel and think about myself and others now is 1000 times better. I’m a radically different person because I met Jesus one weekend through faith-filled men. I am grateful beyond words for that experience. Consider joining us for a weekend that hopefully will affect your life as positively as it has mine.” — Bill Johnston

“I attended the CRHP 2.0 retreat this year and was looking for a spiritual boost or recharge after moving back here from Missouri. The women who led the weekend gave me many gifts: shared their faith journeys in a way I could learn from them, were open and welcoming to all and made the weekend retreat lots of fun! I made new friends and have enjoyed getting to know more of the wonderful women of SPC.” — Diane O’Sullivan

“Honestly, my experience with Christ renews his parish women’s weekend was one of the most faith filled journeys I have ever taken. I not only became a better catholic, I was blessed with many new faith filled friends. I can truly say I am still on a very powerful journey with my Lord! This is a great weekend to enhance your life.” — Jody Zabroske
