Palm Sunday Family Masses

Sunday, April 14th
9:00 am & 10:45 am - Counts as your PSR or EDGE Session!

On Palm Sunday, St. Peter Chanel will hold two Family-Centered Masses in McNamee Hall at 9:00 am and 10:45 am in addition to the regular Masses in the church. These Masses will begin with a procession of palms. Families are welcome to take part in the procession or simply be seated in the parish hall to wait for Mass to begin. If you are interested in being part of the procession, please meet at the Welcoming Jesus statue 15 minutes before Mass begins. (In the event of rain, we will meet in Classrooms 3 & 4.) 

Mass as Class Instructions for PreK-8 PSR & EDGE: Watch for an email with detailed instructions on how to participate, or follow these simple instructions to get attendance credit:

  • Attend ANY Mass on Sunday, April 14th*
  • Pick up your Mass card from PSR staff in the narthex
  • Complete the card before or after you attend Mass
  • Return the card to the PSR staff in the narthex after Mass
  • Special Prize: There will be a cookie party for the class in each grade with the best attendance at Mass as Class!
*If you will be visiting another parish this weekend, please contact the PSR office so we can send you the Mass card.
 
Middle School Service Opportunity: All middle school youth are invited to be a part of the Palm Sunday Family Masses. Youth may choose from speaking or non-speaking roles in the Gospel Drama, or serve as Ushers or Greeters. Participation may be counted as service hours for school, clubs or Scouts. Palm Sunday Youth Choir: Children in Second Grade and older are needed to form our Palm Sunday Youth Choir with singers for our Family-Centered Masses. There are only four rehearsals on Tuesdays after school: March 12th, 19th, 26th & April 9th (there is no rehearsal during the week of Spring Break).
