Even though my parents and relatives were all from Chicago, my dad moved with his job to Kansas, and then eventually Mississippi, where I was born and raised. I began playing organ for the Catholic church at 7 years old, and have been involved in church music ever since (playing organ, piano, singing, directing). I received my music degree from Univ. of Southern Mississippi, where I met my future husband, an incredible musician, teacher and human being, and we’ve been making beautiful music together for over 41 years. We have been blessed with a growing family filled with creative, loving souls, and my favorite thing to do is spend time with them. I’ve worked in various parishes in the Archdiocese of Atlanta since 1985, but at St. Peter Chanel since 2006. I believe that every time we sing, whether in rehearsal or in liturgy, we are engaged in sung prayer. I hope this prayer enriches those who participate in it or are recipients of it, and that we exemplify the love of Christ in our joyful expressions of gratitude and praise with every note.
